The Daily Times of 10th inst, reports of previous day's business as follows: — The attention cf the trade has been entirely taken up to-day with, a large clearing sale of general merchandise, at the auction rooms of Messrs. M'Landress, Hepburn, and Co. The attendance was numerous, but the bidding was slow. St&abs brought £35 for first counters, and medium to fine white crystals £3S to £40 ; the latter in small bags. Eefit.— Currants, 3£d. to 3fd. ; figs, 6d. to 6fd. ; muscatels, ssd. to 6id. ; elemes, 4f d. to 6id. ; sultanas, 6fd. Tobacco. — Aromatic, 3s. Id. ; i lb. mountaineer, 2s. 7d. ; | spread eagle, Is. 7jd. ; 10's "Watson's, 25. ; twist, 3s. lid. ; £ lb. Oriental, 3s. Id. to 3s. 2d. ; twist union, 3s. Cheese. — Cheddar loaf, lid. ; Dunlop, 9d. ; Wilts, Sfd. Beeb. — Saucel ale, Bs. 9d. qts. ; 4s. 7d. pts. Harvey's stout, 93. qts. ; 4s. lid. pts. ( Corn flour, sd. to o^d. ; M'Cready's ginger wine, 2s. ; Stearine candles, 10|d. ; Jacquenor's champagne, qts. 455. to 465. ; pts. 225. ; Hobson's Bay candles, 6wd. ; Hobson's Bay soap, £33. We are glad to notice an improvement in the escort, which, arrived this afternoon.
