A New Coppbr Paint —A new pigment, says the Milling Journal, calculated at the,. same ; time ; ■■ to increase the resources of the docorative painter, and to afford a ready means ofpreserving iron and other metals, has recently been^introduced. at Paris- - by Mr. L. Oudry, of the Anteuil Electro-Mctal-liirgic Works. ; He r . first- obtains : an absolutely. - :- pure copper by throwing down the metal by the gahranic process ; he then reduces the precipitate '<■■ to an impalpable^ powder by stamping .,, This, powder is then combined with : a particular preparation of benzine, and used inthe same way as ordinary- paint ; beautiful bronzed effects are pro-, duced upon it by means of dressinjjjwith acidified solutions and pure copper powder.
