Ifc was then moved by Mr. Broad and seconded by! Mr. Moffatfc, that the Chairman and Mr. Jaggers wait on the Manager of the Bank of New Zealand, for the purpose of obtaining an overdraft, wifch a view to liquidating arrears of salaries due to the officials of the Board. The Chairman expressed liis willingness to act on the deputation, but feared that the result would be anything but favorable. The motion was carried. It was then moved by Mr. Smith and seconded by Mr. Ja&gers, that Messrs. Jaggers, Moffatt, and Livesey, and fche mover be appointed a committee to revise tlie assessment roll, and that the clerk be instructed to call a special meeting of the Board on Monday next to receive the same. The motion was carried. There being no other business befor the Board, the meeting then adjourned.
