The following is a summary of the news, by Electric Telegraph : — (Feoii tite "Age," Jtoy 12.) MISCELLANEOUS. The Queen left Windsor on the 13th for Scotland, accompanied ; by the Princesses. The Queen held a second. Courb "at" Buckingham Palace on the llth. The Prince and Princess of Wales will remain in London. The Princess of Wales held a drawingroom in the place of the Queen on the 18th. The Prince made his debut in public life as chairman at a dinner for literary fund. Prince Alfred is making the tour of the Continent. At Berlin he declined the order of Black Eagle from King of Prussia. A portion of the English press style this a doubtful honor. The Prince will visit other continental parts, and then join the Bacoon at Marseilles. The Marriage of the Count de Paris to cousin of Infanta Isabella, eldest daughter of the Duke and Duchess Montpensier, takes place at Kingston, on the 31st May. The Orleansfamily had all assembled at Claremont. They will be present at the ceremony. The bishopric of Peterborough has been conferred on Dr. Janne, dean of Lincoln. The Marquis of Aylesbury and the Duke of Sutherland have been nominated to the vacant Garters. The steam rams built at Birkenhead by the Messrs. Laird have been sold to Government for £225,000. The Derby was run yesterday, the 25th May, and was won by Blair Athol, General Peel second, Scottish Chief third. The Prince of Wales was on the course ; he went down by the road. The weather was very fine, and the race most exciting, the winner coming in two lengths ahead of the second horse. Trials of the Whitworih and Armstrong guns have been continued during the month at Shoeburya ess, without advantage to either competitor over his antagonist. The American ship James Watt, Captain Finchell, destination Callao, was at the Sound, having been boarded on the passage out by the Confederate war steamer Georgia. She was released on giving a bond for the vessel, the cargo belonging to English owners.
