TASMANIA.
Lacncestox. — The LauncestonJExaminer, of 2nd July, reports as follows : — The advices to hand, per City of Launceston, bare had the effect of imparting greater firmness to flour and wheat here, but we believe few transactions have taken place. Quotations are — Flour, £24 ; wheat, 10s., firm ; oats. 3s. Bd. to 3s. lOd. ; barley, 6s. for English, and 4s. 6d. for Cape, with nothing doing ; bran, Is. 4£d., bags in ; potatoes, about £3 10s., without bags. Hobaet Towu. — The Mercury of Ist. July, says : — In breadstuiFs, owing to the arrival of several orders from the interior for flour, more business was doing, and for wheat there was a more lively inquiry. Flour was quoted at the milla at £25. Of wheat, several sales were reported at 10s. 6d. to 10s. 9d. There was also perceptible to-day a better demand for oats, and sales wero made" at 3b. 9d. to 4a., with one sale of a very superior sample at 4b. l^d.
