Tho Otago Mail, of the 7th, reports' as follows : — "At Messrs. A. G. Fisher and Co.'s sale to-day a parcel 'of Adelaide Hour of first brands was offered. The following prices were obtained :— Butterworth's. j£32 10s. for fivo tons— £32 for the balan'co of thirty-five tons. White Valley, twenty-five tons, at £32. Market rates may therefore be considered to bo very linn. The whole of the damaged flour ex Scotia has, we understand, been disposed of ,to the trade and for exportation, at £27 10s. and £28. -,*,.,.. At Messrs. Daniels and Co.'s sale oi fruit but low prices were obtained. Large arrivals-have for the present swamped the market. We have been favored witli a copy of tho following Mauritius trade circular by Messrs. Tickle and. Co.iTrrr- . " Port Louis, sth April, 1964. " SUGAB. — Since the date of our lust circular, transactions for the United Kingdom have been limited, purchasers being principally confined to No. 12 D.S." at -$6.25, with little mqtury for No. 13 and 14,'. Shipments to Australia have been considerable at about prices quoted, in our last. Since the arrival 'of the February mail, on -the 2<Jth ulto.. holders have advanced tiieir pretentions, without, however, finding any buyers for grey sugar, the transa-tinns having been confined to s\rupsatthe quotation below. Present quotations: For England, No. 7 of Dutch standard, S-1.-l-O per 100 lbs=-21s. 6d. ; for England No. 12 of DuK-h nominal, §6.25 per 100 lbs.=2iJs. 3d. ■ for Australia fine white chrystals, 88.00 per 1 00 lbs. —3Bm. ; goo.l counters, -T6. 75 per 100 lbs.--: 335. sd. ; good rations, *VVSO por 1 00 lbs.— 27s. ; - free on board with current freight and exchange." •
