Id.; to-day, £19 12s. 3d.; together, £152 3s. 4d. ; being duty paid as follows : — Brandy, 2022 gallons ... £91 3 1 Whisky, 51* „ -•■ 23 4 1 Rum, 35 „ ... 15 15 0 Wino, 58 ... 814 0 Genera, 29} „ ... 13 7 2 £152 3 4 Business for tho past week has been much as usual for some time past, and thero is no change in prices. Flour has slightly declined, and for best Adelaide, tho current price may be quoted at £37 — other brands have been parted wifch at £34and £35. Tho " Pat tho Rover" is now daily expected from Adelaide with a cargo of flour for this market, and three or four days after her arrival, we should nofc be surprised to see best Adelaide quoted at £34 or even 533. Tho principal purchase at auction during the week has been that of the Scotia by a company of merchants hero, for tho sum of £290. Great efforts will be made by them to iloat tho vessel ofT, aud if this can be accomplished at even a considerable cost, their venturo will turn out a lucrative ono. Tho two vessels expected from Melbourne havo not, as yet, made their appearance. A brig lias been telegraphed at the Heads, but this does not answer the description of the crafts looked for, the Union being a barque, and the Leonidas a schooner. Wo quote present prices as follows : — Flour. — Besfc Adelaide, £37; other brands, £34 to £35. Potatoes. — £10 per ton. Oatmeal. — £1 09. per cwt. Butter (new D.R.C). — l£d- por lb. BrTTF.R (Tasmanian). — Is. Id. Chrkse. — ls. to lid. per lh. Bacon and Hams.— lld. to le. 2d. per lb. Ricb. — 2s. to ss. per cwt. Brandt (in bond) —Martell's, lis. ; Martell's, in case, 30s. Whisky. — Is. (VI. per gallon, in bond. Rum (10 o.p.)— ls. por gallon, in bond; in case, 14s. Ale (bulk).— Joule's, £10 per hhd. for now brew ; old brew, £7 per hhd. Alb (bottled).— l-ls.
