Days and hours of arrival and departure to be fixed by the Postmaster from time to time. . Contractors using pack-horso must provide sufficient waterproof coverings for the maiLbags, and thoso usi7ig wheeled vehicles must provido secure lockers for the mails, except when, in consequence of their bulk, it maybe nccessarv to place them in tho body of the vehicle, in which -case no one -.but the person in charge is allowed to intermeddle. Contractors will be held responsible for the «afo delivery of all mails entered on the way-bills accompanying them. Security will bo required for the due fulfilment of the contracts. The mail services marked 1 and 2 will bo terminable by one month's notice, civen in writine by the Government, or a proportionate sum will be deducted for that part of the road saved to the contractors by tho completion of the railways.
