Tpksdat, I'lth Junk. 18fU. (Before Matthew Price, Esq., R.M.) John Hoan, charged with being drunk in Tayatreefc, on the evening of tho 13th instant, was fined sa. CivrT. Cases. WOHTIIBJf V. SPttOUJ. .VXD CO. Clivim for £-t 35., for groceries supplied. William Little. ono of the partners of the firm of Sproul and Co., wished to bo relieved of the debt, he having given a ehoque to one of the partners, who was now in Victoria, to settle it. The Bench said such a plea was inadmissable, and gave judgment in favor of plaintiff. Hoad and Co. V. Mitohkm,. — Action to recover tho sum of £5 65.. for goods delivered. Defendant did not appear, and judgment was given in ■favor of plaintiff for amount, together with 11s. costs. The other eases on. tho list were Bottled out of : court. The Court then adjourned till Wednesday, at ; eleven o'clock. i Wednesday, 15ttt .Tttne. 186-i. Hugh M'Dermott was charged with being upon' tho [premises of a Mr. Davies without lawful excuse, on the evening of the 14th instant. Dis- : missed with ;a caution. ' Thomas ;Alexahder was brought up on a charge ■ of allowing his horae to stray in Forth-street, on tho 14th instant, and fined, in the sum of ss. - Citiii Cases. Dayies v. Worthing.— Claim for £6 ss. Defendant did not appear, and, judgment in default was awarded in favor of plaintilt" for amount, together with costs. > There were only one or two other cases before the Court, but thero were no appearance of either party in these actions, and the Court accordingly adjourned till this day, at 11 o'clock.
