Shipping orders rare lights, and for the country trade there, lias been scarcely any inquiry. The floiw market has been dull, but pices' are steady. ".Millers' quotations of £2& per ton- may. be fairly taken as tho market value of good silkdressed flour. In- -wheat, no transactions are reported. . Sugar maintains its price, but ft is not in active- inquiry. Rico- is in less demand, but holders are firm. Useful sorts at congou teas are readily saleable, at well sustained rates. - The Mills. — A steady trade demand is reported at £26 per 2, 0001 b. of illour of best silk-dressed sorts; bran, Is. 4d. per bushel; pollard, Is. Bd. to Is. lOd. per bushel. Retail Matjkbts.—^Butchers' Meat. — Beef, 4d. to Get. per lb.; mutton, 3 id. to sd. do. (according to quality) ; veal, 7d. to Bd. do-. ; pork, Bd. to 9d. do. Poultry. — Turkeys, 6s. to 10». cnehj geese, 12s, t>o> 14s. per pair; ducks, 7s. to Bs. per pair; fowls, 6s. to 7s. do. ; rabbits, 35.. tc ss. pvr brace ; butter, fresh, Is. to Is. 3d. per lb. ; clieope, lOd. fo Is. dp.r eggs, 2s. 9d. to 3s. pordozen-; bread, lOil to lid., tho 41b. loaf;, milk, fid. to 7d. per quart. Hat Market.— The few prime lots of old hay are readily saleable at- fully sustained prices, but the large supplies of second-class and stained sorts pouring into tliw market by rrcrhvay, in addition to tlte TocaT supplies, render- snTcs almost impossible, and afford no- quotations. Best sorts are worth and obtain- £7 155. to £8 per ton ; but for other descriptions no roliablo price can bo quoted. _____________
