Thompson!* jphior &' Co.'s Australian line ot packets, and is, commanded by Captain Donalil, formerly of the falter Hood. ■ 7 . On March 10 was launched from the iron shipbuilding yard of Messrs. Fear se. and Loekwood, Stockton-oii-Teea, the iron barque Hartneld. Her dimensions arc — Length between perpendiculars, 163 feet; extreme breadth, 28 feet 4 inches ; depth of hold, 18 feet 6 inches. Inglis, on the Mersey, a first-class paddle steamer for°the Queensland Steam Navigation Company. Her dimensions are as follows— Length of keel and ibrerake, 215 feet; beam (moulded), 25 feet 6 inches ; depth, 12 feet. As ehe left the ways she was named the Lady Young by Miss Inglis. Last week a very -handsome schooner, named the Maori, was launched from tho building-yard of Mr. James Strachan, shipbuilder, Montro.se. The Maori is owned by Mr. {Sutherland, Bridgestreet, and is intended for the Australian coasting trade, but for the first voyage or two will be engaged in the Baltic trade. She is 122 tons register.
