Mr. CHALMERS gave notice— "That at to-morrow morning's sitting he would ask leave to bring in a Bill, intituled An Ordinance to authorise- the raising of a Loan of £120,000 by the sale of Debentures, to defray the expense of constructing certain Public Works in the Province of Southland." Mr. CHALMEBS gave notice— "That at to-morrow evening's sitting he would ask leave to bring in a Bill, intituled An Ordinance to appropriate the sum of £120,000 oufc of the monies authorised to be raised under and by virtue of the Debentures' Ordinance, No. 2, 1864, of the Province of SoutMand." Mr. WILSON gave notice that at samo sitting he would move — " That an Address be presented to His Honor v the Superintendent, praying him to cause to be" laid on 'the table of this Council copies of - all correspondence wMch ha 3 taken place between theTDeputy-
Superintendent and Messrs. GHllies and Street, of Dunedin, relative to ths appointment of a , Boad Engineer." - - > The House adjourned at 10.45 p.m. till' next day at noon. ♦
