" • '.' i ; The directors have much pleasure in-submitting to the shareholders the annexed statement of accounts, /which shows that the balance of profit upon the operations of the past half-year amounts to £8564 12s lid. . ■ Notwithstanding the heavy losses which hare occurred in the marine branch during the past sis months, the directors have been able, out of the profits of the half-year j not only to provide for those losses, but also to recommend the payment of a dividend of ten ; per cent, per annum. They also propose to pay the sum of £3179 9s 7d to the reserve fund, which will then be increased to £15,000.
