The Accompaniments ,-pp a EitizE Fight. — A Watford correspondent of the Times says :—" As 'a prize fight within 18 miles of London is happily of rare occurrence, you will permit me to inform you xthat our quiet town • was yesterday- the focus ; of a eoliecfcioii of as great scoundrels as possibly ever, congregated,— of the lowest and vilesfc of our' London ■theiyes? It appears a fight was to have come off at . Tring, whither the men, their backers and patrons started from London by an early train, but after fighting a considerable time the fight was stopped by the police. -.The select party then returned by train, alighted at the Watford station, and within a few fields fixed the ropes and recommenced the fight, and after fighting an hour and a half, the fight Avas Lrrought to an end by one of the men being considered dead to all " time." The men, frightfully punished, bleeding from every wound, swollen and disfigured to "a fearful extent. But for a plentiful supply of water from the river Colne, one of the two would haA r e. left. the field a corpse. Men dressed as. gentlemen — evidently supporters of the Sing — were there in force, but from their fearful disgusting, lauguage, horrible beyond description, they may safely be left to the company they have. adopted without loss .to. the society they have so juytly forfeitea. The fight over, the men, their backers and the select company went to the public bouse, in, the vicinity of the station.
