T) O BERTS ON AND CO. hay been favoured with instructions by Mi William Livesey, who is compelledfiby privafc affairs, to leave the colony for England, t< submit to public competition, THE ABOVE-NAMED VALUABLE FREEHOLD PROPERTY The Prince of Wales Hotel is situate h Dee-street, Invercai-gill, in the mos central part of this rapidly rising town, and on the direct road for th< Lake Wakatip, Nokomai, and all th< other ■r SOUTHLAND BORDER GOLDFIELDS This hotel has also a very extensive con nexion among the principal squafcters country settlers, and merchants 0: the Province, and is admitted to b< the leading hotel in Invercargill. The promises stand irpon a most eligibl* section, within a short distance o: the Groneral and Provincial Government offices, and have a frontage o] 60 feet to Dee-street. There is alsc a right-of-way 18 feet wide, connecting Dee-street with the Esplanade and Railway terminus. The hotel is two stories high, with verandah and balcony, the whole length of the building in front and on twe sides, with entrance to the balcony from the upper floor. On the ground floor arc — spacious dining hall 50 ft. x 20 ft., 12 ft. high, elegantly decorated, and fitted with chandeliers, &c. ; a smoking, chess, and conversation room 20ffc. x 20 ft. furnished with couches and every other requisite ; two private rooms, one bay parlour, a private bar, and a large and handsomely fitted public bar at the corner. On the upper floor there are four private sitting-rooms, with bed-rooms attached, to suit families. There are 47 bed rooms and a bath-room. THE BILLIARD ROOM Is 28ft. x 24ft., 27 ft, high, with a large ventilating skylight, and is fitted up in a style equal to any billiard room in the colonies. The table is one of Thurston's best make. The kitchen and servants' apartments occupy a space of 50ft. x 20ft. There are also pantries, a store-room, spirit and beer cellars, and every other requisite for a first class hotel. THE STABLES Are extensive and lofty, and have been built upon the most approved principle. A HORSE AND CATTLE SALE YARD has been put up in the rear of th c stables, also, a poultry yard ; and there is a very large stock of oaten hay, which can be taken at valuation or not, at the option of the purchaser. In submitting this most valuable property to the public, the auctioneers would merely observe that the Prince of Wales Hotel is one of the oldest established hotels in Southland, and has been in the hands of the present proprietor since it was built, it is too well known to need any further eulogium, and the most sceptical can be convinced, by the most rigid examination, that A CERTAIN FORTUNE must accrue to the purchaser.
