RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

The defendant's condition had been brought under the notice of the Commissioner of Police, in consequence of a i letter which he had forwarded to -the Resi- | dent Magistrate, in .which hejiad stated his j intention of "making, away with himself. When -he was arrested -by the' constable, that morning, they found two bottles of poison on. his person..
