News have been received to the effect that St. Domingo- and San Jago capiTtP]ated to the Haytian troops, after three days' -siege^ The Spanish General Santa Anna bad retreated to a ""'forest fiom St. JDomingo. A Domingan chief has been Appointed lo govern St. Jago by the Republic. Owing to this intelligence, 18,000 reserved troops have been called out. by the Spanish Government. The Empress of the French has been enthusiastically received. She will ireembark at Valencia.
