Fifteen hundred pounds (€1500) of which will be guaranteed by the Southland Prospecting Association, and one thousand pounds (£1000) by the Southland Government, in accordince with a notice in tho Government Gizette — to the following effect, viz., " That a Reward of £1000 will be paid to any party who shall discover a Payable Goldfield within twelve months from the date heroof» conditionally on the discoverer or discoverers giving satisfactory proof to the Government that 16,00Uozs of gold, the boita fide produce of that particular Field, being within the Province of Southland shall have been realised and brought to Invercargill within 12 months from the date of tho discovery, and duly reported to His Honor tho Superintendent." The Southland Prospecting Association will pay their subsidy of £1500, in virtue of the following resolution passed at a Public Meeting at Invercargill, November 11th, ISG3, viz.— "That the said Reward of £1500 will be paid to such person or persons who may be declared entitled to the i Government Reward of £1000. Intending Prospectors are also notified of the following resolution passed at the same Meeting, viz. — " That in the event of a payable Goldfield being discovered in the Ofcago Province, and such Goldlield being shown to bo to the advantage of Southlund, that the Committee 6hall have power to give a proportionate reward to the discoverer, and such Money to be raised as the Comtnittco may deem most advisable.
