Instructions to immigVation Agents — namely, " Persons residing in the Province of Southland, desirous of assisting their friends to immigrate to the Province, may obtain for them assisted passages hither, by pre-paying one-third of the passage nioney, and accepting a Bill for the remaining two-thirds, drawn by the Provincial Treasurer, and endorsed. by a \ substantial householder, residing in the Province, andapproved of by the Superintendent as sufficient security for the sante. " In the event of parties not availing themselves of such assisted passages within twelve months, their certificates may be cancelled, ; and the prepaid amount returned to the Applicants." Passages at tire rate Of £15 10s per statute adult, of -which one-third (£5 3s 4d) to be pfepaid.
