Fifteen hundred pounds (t'laOd) of which will be sruarantecd hy the Southland Prospecting Association, and one thousand pounds (£1000) b\' tllO Scttthland Government, in accordance with a notice in th» Government Gazette — to tbe following effect, viz., " That a Reward of £1000 will be paid to any party who shall discover a Payable Goldfield within twelve months from the date heroo r j conditionally on the discoverer or discoverers giving satisfactory proof to the Government that 16,00U0z3 of gold, the bona fide produce of that particular Field, being witliin the Province of Southland shall have been realised and brought to Invercargill within 12 months from tho date of tho discovery, and duly reported to His Honor the Superintendent." The Southland Prospecting Association will pay their subsidy of £1500, in virtue of the following resolution passed at a Public Meeting at Invercargill, November Ilth, lSb'3, viz. — " That the said Reward of £1500 will be paid to such pea=on or persons who may be declared entitled to thg Government Reward of £1000. Intending Prospectors aro also notified of tho following resolution passed at the same Meeting, viz. — " That in the event of a payable Goldlield being discovered in the Otago Province, and such Goldfield being shown to be to tbe advantage of Southland, that the Committee shall have power to give a proportionate reward to the discoverer, and such Money to be raised as the Committee may deem most advisable.
