The Southland Prospecting Association will pay their subsidy of £1500, in virtue of the following resolution passed at a Public Meeting at Invercargill, November Ilth, lSb'3, viz. — " That the said Reward of £1500 will be paid to such pea=on or persons who may be declared entitled to thg Government Reward of £1000. Intending Prospectors aro also notified of tho following resolution passed at the same Meeting, viz. — " That in the event of a payable Goldlield being discovered in the Otago Province, and such Goldfield being shown to be to tbe advantage of Southland, that the Committee shall have power to give a proportionate reward to the discoverer, and such Money to be raised as the Committee may deem most advisable.
