The sale of the cargo of teas ex Charlotte was postponed to Friday, tho attention of the trade being taken up by tho sugars aud other grocery goods which were offered. Wheat has been in inquiry, especially for good samples, which are scarce. Colnuial oats have been dealt in, but have not come forward ireely. Meisrs Fraser and Cohen offered at their rooms, portions of tho cargoes of the Despatch, Formosa, and Robert Passenger, to a largo attendance of the trade, and sold upwards of 7Uoobags. at full prices. Very middling white crystals, £38 per ton ; low to middling yellow do, £33 to £34 ; good counters, £32 15s; low do, £28 15s to £29 2s 6d. The same firm also sold, for cash, ex Kingfisher, a. -ample of scented, orange pekoe, damaged by ecu- water, at Is 8d per lb. Messrs Greig and Murray held an extensive sale to-day, at their rooms, and sold fiouO boxes of candles at the following prices : — Full weights (sound), lO^il perlb, full weights (all faults), o£d to 9*d per lb, net cash; light weights (all faults), 7:jd to 7§d per packet, net cash; also Elemc raisins, 7<l to 7;rd per lb ; gunpowder tea, 2i 2£d to 2s 3.Yd per lb ; jams, 1 lbtins, 10s 9d per dozen; marrnnlado, 1 lb-tins. 8s fid per dozen: led herrings, in tins, 3ls per dozen. Lea and Perrin's Worcester sauce, 11s (id per dozen ; loaf sugar, s£d per lb ; Irish oats, (all laults), 3s 8d to 3s 101 per bishel: French plums, Sfd per lb. Also, at tho Hobson's Bay Railway, 15Q pockets Kent and Sussex hops (various growths), at s£d to Is 4d per lb, &c. Messrs Lyons, Harris, and Co. report sales this day at their rooms : — 6OO cases American furniture — Baltimore chairs, 2s 91 to 3s ; Washington chairs, 3s Id to 3s 2d ; Bay State oak office chairs, 7s 6d; rocking chnirs, 83 to 8s 9<l ; bureau, three, four, and five drawers, 29s to 395 ; bedsteads, 225 ; coffee tables, 14s Gd. Also, fifteen cases superior English furniture, at fair prices on invoice. ,

Thvcc bu6hel bags command 17s 6cl per dozen. The flour market is unchanged. Oats, in small parcels, are saleable at r 6s to 6s 3d for -co'o;iial grown. Ration sugars are inquired' tor at £25. Medium teas have 'been bought ut full rates. The market is glutted with low qualUies. A cargo of deals offered by auction was withdrawn, in consequence of the low rates offering. Messrs Fi-aser and Cohen sold at the Australian Wharf 229 three quarter boxes tobacco, with all faults, rt fair rates' condition taken into account. Messrs Gcmmell, M'Caul, and Cu. sold at their rooms, Mauritius sugar, ration, £2 1 15s per ton ; Brandon's Neva stearine candles, 9^il per lb, net cash; Kent hops, 78G2, la per lb-j polar oil, £55 per tun. Messrs Greig and Murray offered to-day at their rooms, the cargo ex iihv.a Goddard, from Java, and sold, 2)0 mats Java sti^ar, at £25 for rations, and £82 153 to £33 per ton for greyish crystals; Java coffee, duty paid, realised 12Jd to 12fd per pound. Tkesamc linn also sold 15(fO box^fc candles, at, for foreign full weights, sound, lO^dperlb^ foreign full weights, all faults, 9£d to 9£d perlb; mackerel 6s Gd*to 9s Gd par kit; Lunliaru's bacon, llfd per lb ; rack salt, £2 10s per ton ; and several partis of groceries and oilmen's stores, &c, at fair prices.
