It was moved by Mr Giller, seconded by Mr Bevan and carried, that two Assessors should be advertised for, to tender for making the assessment for the year 1868-4. | LIGHTING OF TAY STREET. On the motion of Mr Giller it was resolved that the inhabitants of Tay-street be assessed for the lighting of said street, and that the rate be fixed at next meeting. solicitor's appointment and salary. It was moved by Mr Giller that a Solicitor to the Board be engaged at a salary of L2OO per annum, for services to be rendered during the ensuing year. Mr M'lvor seconded. Mr Garthwaite moved as an amendment, that the sum be LIOO. The amendment was carried. ACCOUNTS. On the motion of Mr Giller, seconded by Mr Lockhart, the accounts against the board were ordered to be paid. bte-laws. It was moved by Mr. Garthwaite and carried, that the following committee be appointed to frame bye-laws: — Messrs. Claike, Beaven, Giller, and Garthwaite.
