MESSRS HARNETT and CO. beg to intimate to the inhabitants of Invercargill, that since the announcement of their intention to compile, print and publish a Directory ot Invercargill, a local stationeer has volunteered to produce a work under the same title. Without desiring in any way to discourage or depreciate that gentleman's efforts, in justice to ourselves we desire to state that his proposed publication, although following 80 closely on, has nothing to do with, the Invercargill Directory we have undertaken to produce, and which is to include a Directory of Dunedin, and a list of (he principal wholesale and manufacturing houses in Melbourne. 3rd September, 1863.
