Without desiring in any way to discourage or depreciate that gentleman's efforts, in justice to ourselves we desire to state that his proposed publication, although following 80 closely on, has nothing to do with, the Invercargill Directory we have undertaken to produce, and which is to include a Directory of Dunedin, and a list of (he principal wholesale and manufacturing houses in Melbourne. 3rd September, 1863.
