Sugars — Crystals declined ; rations in demand, at an advance. Accounts from the mining districts are very satisfactory. Saturday. " In the Assembly, leave has been granted to introduce a bill to provide that the Government Gazette shall be the sole medium for Government advertisements, and not the daily journals. Small parcels of wheat sold to-day at 5s Bd. Flour £13 10s to £14. Bran very scarce; sales at Is fld per bushel. The appointment of Captain Biggs as commander of the volunteer force, instead of LieutenantColonel Furniss, creates much discussion.
