PAPAKURA.
Mr C. , of the Cross, seems desirous of leaving his mark wherever he goes, for while violently discussing at this place the other day, how much could be done by one man with 50 to 100 to follow him in clearing the bush of Maories — if that one ma had courage, energy, activity, &c., indeed just such a man as he could name— bang went his revolver, sending the ball through a pane of glass, much to the astonishment of the company, who had, however, already bepn wrought' up to amazement pitch by the late exclamatory prowess of the owner. A wag hearing the revolver go off exclaimed, " Oh, it's only a reporter."
