Horses. — We bave to report a marked improvement generally in the horso market this week, both as regards supply, price and demand. Our yards have been well stocked with every description of liorses, nnd we have experienced little or no difficulty in finding purchasers nt prices remunerative to the importers as well as the speculators. The medium draught horso continues to command an excellent figure, and as wo have already remarked, should tho rush to the Hog Burn bo established, we havo no hesitation in saying that this particular class of horses must hold a prominent position in tie market; in fact the rush wil! have a general effect upon every class of horses, and tend to increase thier value considerably. During the week several consignments have come to hand, and have met with ready salo; amongst which we havo to mention that of J. R. Gleadow Esq, ex Mariposa, from Launceston, consisting of 25 head of medium draught horses, rather low in condition, but young which sold on Thursday last at an average of LSO per head ; the remainder of Ciptain Lewis' lot, ex Cosmopolite, were sold to-day at an avorageof LSO per head.
