Hokianga River. Musters of vessels and others nivigftting the Hokianga llivcr nve hereby informed that on, and after the 14 day ot March proximo, the following will be the Code of Signals for taking Hokianga bar and enteriivg; the river: — Signals. — Fn>m tho Signal-staff on the South Head the following Signals will be made : — No. 1. Blue Peter— Keep to Sea ; Bar is not fit to take. No. 2. Red Flag— Tako tho Bar ; there is no danger. No. 3. Klue With White Cross— Ebb Tide ; Bar not fit. No. 4. White— First Quarter Flood. — When these fines fire understood, they should be amwere 1 from the ship by a pendant or Hag where beaf seen. Tho plot will be at the entrance of the Heads in his boar, but si-ldum outside the Bar. 2. If a vessel it to far to the North for entering a White Square «ill be hoisted on the south yardarm; and if to f-r to the South, it will bo hoisted on the north ya d arm. Vessels to be particularly guided by the h >isting of tho White Square nt the yard-arms and that direction. No vessel should take tho Bar until the lhifrstaff bears E 5 N.
