Mrs. Rvssfvl, a Bankbupt. — The widow Russell, who brought an action against Dr Adams for a breach of promise of marriage, which she .alleged he had made to her daughter, is in Whitecross-street prison, and has been adjudicated a bankrupt by the Registrar against her consent. She wa3 defending an action on a bill of exchange she had given to Dr Adams, the trial of which would involve costs of over £1000, because the whole question of the alleged breach of proraise was involved in the defence. — Home News.
