The following Notice to Mariners, received from the Government of Victoria, is published for general information. Rtcabbk Wood, In the absence of Mr. Domett. Colonial Secretary's Office, Auckland, 3rd June, 1863. " Notice to MAursEßfl. ■" Rock in Bass' Straits. 11 A rock awash having been reported to exist in Bass' Straits, about five or six miles to the E N.E. of the Crocodile Roc.*, search for which has hitherto bqen unsuccessful, n nvigators are cautioned to keep a good look out when in the neighborhood of its assigned position. "The undermentioned bearings have been given as the position of this supposed danger : — "Devil's Tower, E. by S. £ S., distant four miles. " Curt ; s Island, S. £ E." ■■■ i. »» ■ ■ ■■
