MELBOURNE COMMERCIAL.
(From the Argus, May 29.) There was above an average amount of general business doing yesterday, chiefly for the country trade. The demand for favorito"brands of bottled * brandy lins bton maintained, and several sales have been mentioned. The New Zealand trade is for the present dull. There is still some speculative movement in tobacco, but without loading to any large transfer of stocks. The fiour and grain market lms opened firmly for the week.
