The past week hos heen a vast improvement nn tbe past month ; weather good, roads rapidly drying up, and cartage down to LSO, with a prospect of falling lower. A good many up-country buyers have been in town, and sales *o a fair extent have been effected. Prices, however, from tho causes indicated in our last market reports. have not improved, but a continuance of such weather as wq now hove will wn lead to a reduction of stocks before the winter closes upon us and we have to abandon our friends at the Lake for a few months.
