To Naval Officers on 'Foreign Station Letters addressed to officers serving oA boardof Her Majesty's ships on a foreign station, « sent through the United Kingdom, are charge as follows: Not exceeding £ oz, Is ; exceeding and not exceeding 1 oz, 2s ; exceeding loz not exceeding 2 oz, 4s ; and so on, increasing shillings for every additional ounce or fractioi an ounce. 8. To Naval Seamen and Soldiers. — Lei sent to or by seamen and soldiers in Her Majei service will be transmitted within the Colony, between the colony or any post-office in the Bi dominions, at a charge of one penny, provided the following regulations are observed : — 1. ] letter must not exceed half an ounce in wei 2. It must be superscribed "with the name of writer, his disposition or class in the vessel on ment, and signed by the officer at the time mi mand. 3. The postage must be pre-paid. E letter of this description, posted or received in Colony, not in accordance with the foregoing r ation, will be treated as an ordinary letter. ' 9. Free Letters. — Letters on the public sei of Her Majesty's Naval and Military Forces; exempted from the payment of postage, if bea the words, "On Her Majesty's Service," and signature of the officer in command of the fore the service of which the letter is despatched. V such letters cannot be transmitted by any irreg route, or one entailing additional expense on' Colonial Government.
