To Naval Seamen and Soldiers. — Lei sent to or by -seamen and soldiers in Her Majes service wiU be transmitted within the Colony, between the «olony or any post-office in the Bri dominions, -at -a«barge of one penny, provided the following regulations are observed :— l. i letter must not exceed half an ounce in woi 2. Free Letters. — Letters on the public ser of Her Majesty's Naval and Military Forces, exempted from the payment of postage, if beai the words, "On Her Majesty's Service," and signature ofthe officer in command of the forci the service of which the letter is despatched, such letters cannot be transmitted by any irreg* route, or one entailing additional expense on Colonial Government. To any part of the colony, or to the "Uni Kingdom via Southampton : — Not exceeding 4 4d ; exceeding 4 oz, and not exceeding 8 oz, I exceeding 8 oz, and not exceeding 16 oz, ls ■ and so on, increasing eight pence for every ad tional half-pound, or fraction of half-a-pound. 2. To the following British colonies — Ascensi Bermuda, British West Indies, Canada, Cap* Good Hope, Falkland Islands, Gambia, G Coast, Heligoland, lonian Islands, Natal, li Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Pri Edward Island, St. Helena, Sierra Leone, Vi couver's Island. — Not exceeding 4oz, 7d; exco ing 4 oz, and not exceeding 8 oz, ls2d ; exceed 8 oz, and not exceeding 16 oz, 2s 4d ; and so in-creasing one shilling and twopence for cd half-pound, or fraction of half-a-pound.
