At a late hour last night we received our Dunedin correspondent's letter, containing a concise account of the result of the contest for the Superintendency of Otago Province. Our space prevents us giving more than the totals as far as at present known: — Harris 493 Richardson 365 Majority for Harris . . 128 The districts not included in these totals are Matau, Clutha, Lindis, Manuherikia, and Wakatip, but, as there are only 176 voters in the five, they are not likely to materially affect the result.
