THE WEATHER.
METEOROLOaTC.VL OBSERVATIONS DURING MARCH, 1863. The mean temperature of the month was 5T2 deg., which is 4-1 deg. below the average of the four previous years. The thermometer rose to its highest ori the 7th, and fell to its lowest on the 6th, — the range being 46 degrees. Showery weather was prevalent up to the 20th ; heavy falls of rain occurred on the 2nd, 16th, and 22nd. The amounts being 0-98 inch, T52 inch, and T36 inch lespectively. The wind blew from N.W. on 13 days, and from "W. on 14 days ; strong gales from the latter quarter were experienced on the 24th and 29th. —
