Winton — Police barracks and ten stall stable. Plan and specification may be seen on and after Wednesday, Blb inst. Tenders received till noon of 13th inst. 225. Gore— Police barracks and four-stall stable. Plan and specification may be seen on and after Wednesday, Bth inst. Tenders received till noon of 13th inst. 228. Road between JZiveHon and Otautau River — Gravelling all culverts and approaches their whole lengths 1(5 feet wide. 1 foot deep in centre, 8 inches at. sides. Specification may he seen here and at Messrs Sarman and Crerar's, Uiverton. Tenders received till noon of 11th inst. HIS Honor the SuPBRrNTEVDRNT directs it to be notified that a Heward of One Thousand Pounds will be p id to any paity who shall discover a paying gnldfield within twelve monihs from the date hereof, conditionally upon t'le discoverer nr discoverers Kivin;: satisfactory proof to the Government that Sixteen Thousand Ounces ot Gold, the bonn fide produce of that particular field (being within the Province of Southland) shall have been realized and brought to Inver-c.ii-"-ill twelve months from the date of discovery thereof. "'"'HE Govern ment of Southland l>ein£ I about, to issue instructions to the Nome •V <rents to Ihv on a. Vessel from the Clyde direct for tho Bluff, with immigrants, the attention of parties interested in the Province is directed to the following sub-section 4, of clause Ist, of Instructions to Immigration Agents: — "4. Any persons residing in the province of Southland", desuoui of assisting their friends in the United Kingdom to immigrate to the province, mny obtain for them assisted passages hither by drawing a bill for the full amount of the p : issa','e money to the order of the Prrvincial Treasurer of Southland, accepted by a substantial householder, also resident m the province, anrt approved of by ihe Superintendent as sufficient security for the same. The drawer of any such bill will then receive, an order to the Immigration Agent, authorise -g him to give a free passage to the Province of Southland to any person or persons named therein; and any residents in Southland will be able to assist their friends to immigrate to the Province by undertaking to repay the whole, of the passage- money in the manner übove provided." Hills will be made out at the rate of £15 10s per statute adult. Applications must be made at this office before the 12th dav of Anril next. By order, 11 . A. GILLER, Clerk to the Superintendent.
