FOR THE INFORMATION OF NEW ARRIVALS The nearest route for pedestrians going to the Lake, is the North Bond. About £}, miles from town, the road turns to the left, and from tlience to WUxton Bush flB miles) the dray track should be kept, then the Survey rline to the River Orcfi f]2 miles); from thence follow the dray-track to the Elbow Accommodation IJovse. By this route, 30 miles are saved, and if the Oreti is high the East Bank can be kept all the way. There is an accommodation house at Wallace town, 7 miles front Invercargill ; another at the Lime Hills, 25 miles ; another at the Elbow, 54 miles ; another at Rogers, 74 miles ; and another at the foot of the Lake, 92 miles.
