To the Editor of the Invercargill Times. Sir-—I am a modest nun and I hate rushing into print, but in the present c&ze my feelings overcome my natural timidity, and I am compelled to speak out. What can that aurust body, the Town Board, mean by destroying ,oh the approach of winter, a good sound highway ? by digging and tearing Up a most important thoroughfare, to wit, Taystreet. Let the storekeepers and those interested at once present a memorial to the Government, praying that such work should be at once discontinued, or at all events, postponed until it can be vigorously pushed forward. At present this work, if proceeded with, will be downright destruction to the traffic of this street. Adieu, Modesty.
