" The schooner Star, Captain Milne, entered at the Custom House yesterday, closed a rather remarkable voyage from Dunedin. Anchor was weighed at Port Chalmers on Sunday, the 25th ult. She had a strong N.E. wind to the Taieri, and then light baffling easterly breezes as far as Long Point. From thence to the Brothers strong north and westerly winds were experienced for a whole week. Off the Brothers passed the Pride, from Invereargill, and the Courier from Riverton. At this time the Star was blown back five miles past the Brothers, so ran in to Waikawa and was detained there sis days bv a strong gale from N.W. to W. At last made New Eiver Heads, the gale still blowing, and ran for Stewart's Island. While at Waikawa the glass fell verv low. Tho Star was thus a full fortnight on the passage.
