Riverton &oad, via Neio Rive)' Feny.— Cutting Outfall Drains, 5 ft 6 in. wide on top, 3 feet '6 in. "deep, and 2 feet wide at bottom, from thte Waikivi River to the cross roads through tbe bush. The contract for the above work (about 100 chains or thereby) having become forfeited, tenders therefor will be received at this office till noon of Saturday next, 3rd January. 162. Gaol Rations, Bluff.— Tenders will be received at this office till noon of 9th January, 1863, for supplying Bread Meat to 30th September, 1863. in such quantities and at such time as may be required. 163. Twcedstreet, Invcrcargill. — Cutting about 55 chains of ditching, as per specification. Tenders received till noon of 31at inst. 164. Additions to Post-off 'Co, Invercargill, as per plan and specifications. Tenders received till noon of 6th January. Forms of Tender (for filling up) may be obtained at tbis office. To perform the Following service by yearly contract: to be stationed in the New River Estuary ; to run twice in every week to tbe Bluff Harbour, and once every \veek to Riverton . To carry mails and persons specially exempted by the Superintendent free of charge. Fares and freight not to exceed the following charges, viz. — Freight : Invercai-gill and Campbclltown, to and from, 203 per ton measurement. Passage Fares : Cabin, los eacli; steerage, 10a cacb person. Freight : Invercargill and Riverton, to and from, 20s per ton measurement. Passage fares, 10s each person. Lighterage from anchorage, New Eiver, to Jetty, Invercargill 10a per ton measurement: Passage fare 3s each person. AT A SPECIAL MEETING of the Waste L:iud Board held oh the 17th inst., the upset price of Sections in the Towns of Invercargill, Riverton, and Campbelltoivn was raised to £50. or £200 per acre ; in Gore and Dacre to £25, or £o<j per acre. HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified tbat a Eeward of One Thousand Pounds will be paid to any party who shall discover a paying goldfield wilbin twelve months from the date hereof, conditionally upon the discoverer of discoverers giving satisfactory proof to the Government that Sixteen Thousand Ounces of Gold, tbe iona fide produce of that particular field (being wituin the Trovince of Southland) shall have been realized and brought to Invercargill within twelve months from the date of discovery thereof. Tie steamer will be bound to leave Melbourne -within eighteen hours after tho arrival of the English mail, and to maku the abova port of Invereargill the first of arrival and departure. By order, H.
