The country along this river is. said to be good. Much has already been taken up, and some has changed hands at a premium. *We are not aware, however, that anyone has yet struck a course from the head of. the Paroo to the Barcoo. But the intervening distance is not very great. Mr. Neilson has also marked out a route from Mount Kankine, on the Darling, to Cooper's Creek, which, from the description he gives of it, must be very far preferable to that from Menindie to Cooper's Creek, over which Burk.e and Wright travelled so toil#oiiftfly;.^<%^^ffmiW.
