She jjports the arrival there of the Englist Mail, of the 4th September, on the •3rd ult. The American, news, was to the effeel that the Southerners were still successful, the Federalists not being able to hold their own. The Carl brought no papers, Capt , Beveridge not expecting to arrive here before the Mail due on the 10th inst. This morning's Argus publishes the above.
