MATAU R A.
A team of cricketers played in a cup match at Wyndham last Saturday, and were defeated by an innings and 18 runs. Their lack of success is due to want of practice- Let them take heart of grace and wire in. On Wednesday afternoon a team from the Wyndham Rifle Club fired a match against our shootists, and won by 50 points. Our men want to put in more time at the long ranges. As a sign of the approaching festive season the school closed for the summer vacation on Friday. Happy children ! Ho more studies of the next five weeks. What a time they will have —so will their parents ! As Christmas and Hew Year will have come and gone e’er you hear from me again, I will close by wishing you and your readers A Merry Christmas and Prosperous Hew Year.
