At Wigan recently a milk seller recovered £SO damages ag tinst a farmer who had supplied him with adulterated milk. It appeared that an analysis revealed the fact that the milk: contained 10 per cent, of sewage wate’, and plaintiff’s business declined hence the claim. The defend u.& brought a counter-claim because the plaintiff had declined to take any mare milk, and so broken the agreement made, and the judge said the law compelled him to give the defendant the verdict on the counter-claim. The first trial shipment of live sheep was despatched from Adelaide to London on November 30th.
