MRS ROGERS’ DANCING CLASSES.

A most successful dance, held in Hanaa’s Hall, closed Mrs Rogers classes, last Wednesday evening l . Over eighty ladies and gentlemen, were present. The hall, decorated with greenery, flags and wild clematis, by Messrs Croft, Bleakley, Mackley, Ross, Brown, Young, Smith, Manson, Gordon and Wesney, deserved the admiration it received. The floor was in excellent order, and the dancing, under the superintendence of Mrs Rogers, assisted by Messrs Bleakley, Young, Croft, Mackley and Smith, was kept up with unwonted spirit from eight to one o’clock. The assembly separated after joining hands to the music of Auld Lang Syne, played by Mr Kingsland, organist of All Saints. At this dance there were no “ wall flowers,” owing, no doubt, to the charming appearance of the ladies present. Amongst these we noticed? Mrs Moseley, in a picturesque dress of shot gold silk with old lacc. Miss Mair, in a handsome dress of white silk with gold dots, with gold-coloured silk trimming. Miss Sutton, in a very stylish dress of heliotrope, with petunia-coloured velvet. Miss Organ, in black velvet. The Misses Kathleen and Elizabeth Roche, in beautifully-made white dresses. The Misses Maize, in pretty pale blue dresses, with gold braid trimmings. The Misses Gourlay, in blue and white. Miss Craig, in a pretty white dress. Miss French in cream colour. Miss Hilda Baker in a very becoming white dress. Miss Bratby in violet silk, richly trimmed with gold lace. Miss Galbraith in a pretty white dress. Miss Eoss in a becoming white dress. Miss Rodie in white. Miss Lindsay in white. Miss Rogers in cardinal and white. Miss Florence Rogers in blue and white. Miss Blackham in a pretty pink erepou. Miss Annie Blackham in pink.
