PERSONAL.

(to tub editor.) Sir, — I observe that your contributor “ Scotch Thistle ” makes an allusion to me, but I think he does not grasp the situation as I view it. In discussing public matters courtesy should be studied, and per:- m dities avoided. However, when attacked by a meddlesome, over-bearing person who makes a practice of sneering at those who differ in opinion from him, and who tries to bully those not qualified to defend themselves, then it may be beneficial to administer punishment without stooping to the same level. —Yours, etc., Andrew Kinross. Myross Bush, sth June, 1894.
