Balfour. —“ I see by the papers (yours included) that Good Friday fell earlier this year than it has done since 18-52. Kindly let me know on what date Easter fell in 1883, as I am almost certain it was exactly the same as this year, but having no old almanac I cannot be positive.”—Your memory has served you well. Easter Monday in 1883 fell, as this year, on the 2Gth of March
