Fat Cattle. At Hie sales on Wednesday 112 were yarded, the greater portion of which were very ordinary quality, and a ffw pens being prime. Prices ruling on this occasion did not come up to those ruling last week, weights compared Best quality bullocks brought £9 10s to £lO lUs; medium, £8 to £8 15s; light, £6 10; to £7 12s Gd; best cows, £3 10-t to £7 17s 6d ; medium, £5 lOs ta £3 10s ; light and aged, £2 17s Gd to £5 ss. Fat Sheep. 1220 wore penned, all crossbred wethers and ewes —mostly the labti r, only a very few pens of tlie former—representing all qualities, but none extra heavy. The Jem md was confined to trade requirements, and although this was comparat itivcl v a small entry itproved quite sullicient for this week, prices showing no improvement on last week’s. Best crossbred wethers brought 12s 9d to 14s; medium, 10s 9d to 12s Gd; best crossbred ewes, Us to I2s 9d ; one or two pens to 13s Gd and 13s 9d; medium to good, 8s Gd to Ilfs 9d. Grass Seed. Perennial ryegrass seed, clean, shelly, anct heavy, is in fair dom nd; while roughly grown, big seed, undressed, is rather difficult now to place, and, as the bulk of the offerings consist of such, business is somewhat Hat. Quotations: For machine dressed, gjol to best, 3s to 3s 3d; ext.r i choice perennial, 3s Gd to 4s (ex store, sacks extra, net). Cocksfoot" Market quiet; prices range from 3|d to 4jd per lb. Potatoes. The market lias been fairly well supplied during t,lie past week; prioo.-s in consequence show rather a downward tendency. Quotations; For best, £2 15s to £3 ; medium, £2 7s (id to £2 12s (id per to a (ex store, sacks weighed in, net). Dairy Produce. Prime salt butter, dairy made, slow sale at Gd to Gid; medium, to 4.) I; factorymade, 9d to 10d per lb. Factory eheese dull: Medium size, to 4]-d ; loaf do, 4jd to 5d ; dairy-made, 2d to 4d per lb.
