[Advt.] ESSAYS ON TEA. Received by R.- L. Begg & Sons. By M. L. Thomson (Newfield, Win ton) — Tea is a most reviving and refreshing drink that none of ns could well do without. There is nothing I enjoy so much as a cup of R. L. Begg & Sons pure Indian and Ceylon Tea. It is far superior to China Tea because it is pure and has such a beautiful flavour that anyone who once uses it will never use any other. Besides being’ the best it is the cheapest, as it has double the strength of China tea so anyone wanting to purchase a box of good Tea I can recommend to go to R. L. Begg & Sons’ where their wants will be supplied. We have used it for a good while now, and intend to use no other. By Lizzie A. Thomson (Newfield, Winton.). —Tea is a very refreshing drink, and I think nearly everyone enjoys a cup of good tea —at least I know I do. We always used China Tea until one day when I was out at a neighbour’s : I tasted and enjoyed the cup of tea so much I inquired what tea it was she used. I was recommended to try R. L. Begg and Sons Pure Indian and Ceylon Tea, which I did, and I find it to be the best and cheapest in the market, so I will advise all who want to purchase a good box of tea to try R. L. Begg and Sons, Tea Merchants, Tay street, Invercargill. By C. L. Brown, Avenal. —Tea, the Queen of Drinks.—Whoever was the benevolent individual —1 suppose he was a Chinaman —to whom the idea of using tea in the present way first occurred; he certainly was a permanent benefactor to mankind —especially womankind. What a loss it would have been to the human race if that important discovery had never been made ! and how would the “ unemployed ” members of the fair sex have contrived to wile away the tedium of the long afternoons, deprived of the pastime of drinking tea at one another’s houses ? To be sure good Queen Bess and her ladies existed without it, so did the feminine Olympian deities, but then they had nectar, which was perhaps, in its way, just as good. R. L. BEGG- A D SONS, Tea Merchants, TAY STEEET.
