POSTAL NOTICE.

New Year’s Day being a Post Office holiday, all mails advertised for despatch on that day will close at 6 a.m. There will be no delivery by letter carriers on Hew Year’s Day, but, instead, a general delivery will be made over the counter at the Post Office on Saturday, 80th inst., the hours of 7 and 8 p.m. On the Ist pros, the Telegraph Office will only be open between the hours of 9 and 10 a.m., and 7 and 8 p.m. The Telephone Exchange will be open as usual.
